PayDirt Grading is hiring a skilled, dependable individual who can operate heavy equipment, perform mechanical repairs, and handle outdoor labor.
Your main responsibility will be helping us develop our new parking storage facility — clearing the land, grading it, installing fencing, improving drainage, and preparing the site for operations.
At times, you will also be assigned to work on customer jobs such as storm cleanup, grading, brush clearing, or land preparation.
This position is perfect for a hardworking, experienced operator-mechanic who wants consistent work, variety, and project-based responsibilities.
POSITION SUMMARY
This role combines:
Heavy Equipment Operation
Heavy Equipment Repair & Maintenance
Manual Labor / Ground Work
You must be comfortable switching between operating machines, performing repairs, and doing hands-on labor.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (Parking Storage Facility Project)
Land clearing and grading of PayDirt property
Operating dozers, skid steers, excavators, compactors, trench rollers, etc.
Shaping, leveling, and preparing access lanes
Installing fencing and boundary markers
Helping develop drainage and erosion-control features
Clearing brush, debris, and vegetation
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES (Occasional Customer Jobs)
Assisting with grading, brush clearing, storm cleanup, or site prep
Using hand tools, chainsaws, lasers, and shovels
Supporting operators and ground crew on customer job sites
MECHANICAL DUTIES
Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on company equipment
Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues
Maintain logs and report parts or supply needs
Keep equipment clean, serviced, and job-ready
Provide emergency mechanical support when needed
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3 years heavy equipment operating experience (Forklift experience does NOT count)
Strong mechanical/repair experience on dozers, skid steers, and excavators
Experience with CASE equipment is a major plus
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
No smoking, vaping, or drug use
Able to lift 75 lbs. and perform strenuous outdoor labor
Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
Strong attendance and time-management skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Majority of work on PayDirt property (storage facility build-out)
Occasional customer-site work depending on project needs
Outdoor work in all seasons and weather conditions
Physical labor, uneven terrain, lifting, bending, climbing, kneeling
PAY & SCHEDULE
$20 - $25 an hour (willing to negotiate depending on skill and experience)
Full-time position (Monday-Friday)
Consistent daily work with long-term stability
